New Construction Home Inspections in Jacksonville, FL
Get Peace of Mind Before You Move In
Even brand-new homes can have problems.
At Affiliated Home Inspections, Inc, we specialize in new construction inspections throughout Jacksonville and surrounding communities to ensure your newly built home meets the standards you expect — before you close or move in.
Our certified inspectors provide a detailed evaluation of your home’s structure, major systems, and workmanship. We help identify issues early, while they are still under builder warranty and before they become costly repairs. If you're building or purchasing a newly constructed home in Jacksonville, Orange Park, St. Johns, or nearby areas, we’re here to protect your investment from the ground up.
Why New Construction Inspections Matter
A newly built home might appear flawless on the surface, but poor workmanship, rushed timelines, and missed code requirements are not uncommon. Municipal building inspections only cover code minimums and often happen in minutes. Our inspections go deeper, giving you a complete understanding of the home’s condition.
Common issues found in new construction include:
Improper roof installation
Plumbing or drainage defects
HVAC ducting problems
Poor grading or foundation issues
Missing insulation or flashing
Faulty wiring or panel concerns
Gaps in weatherproofing or exterior sealing
We help ensure your new home is built to last — and safe for your family from day one.
Why Choose Us?
Over 25 years of combined inspection and construction experience
Local knowledge of Florida building practices and climate-related risks
Detailed, easy-to-read reports delivered within 24 hours
Unbiased evaluations — we work for the buyer, not the builder
Available 7 days a week, including evenings and weekends
Serving all of Jacksonville, Orange Park, St. Johns, Ponte Vedra, and surrounding areas. We take your home inspection seriously and treat your new property as if it were our own.

When to Schedule a New Construction Inspection
We recommend scheduling a new construction inspection at one or more of the following stages:
Pre-Drywall (Framing Phase)
Before the walls are sealed, we inspect framing, electrical runs, plumbing lines, HVAC ducts, and window/door installations. This is your only opportunity to see inside the structure and catch early issues.
Final Walkthrough (Pre-Closing)
Scheduled just before your final walkthrough, this inspection covers everything visible and accessible. We test systems, check finishes, and document workmanship quality.
11-Month Warranty Inspection
Most builders provide a one-year warranty. Around month 10 or 11, we can inspect the home again and document any developing problems, giving you a punch list to submit before the warranty expires.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION
Should I still get an inspection if my home passed city code inspections?
Yes. Code inspections are minimal and brief. Our inspection is independent and comprehensive, protecting your interests.
When is the best time to inspect new construction?
Ideally, at three points: pre-drywall, pre-closing, and at the 11-month warranty mark.
Will your report include photos and detailed notes?
Absolutely. You’ll receive a user-friendly report with visual documentation and a summary of any concerns.
